Be prepared to raid the toys’ department for some groovy ideas if you’re in the field of creative design. Case in point: the Chanel’s Wind Power and Lego bags. Better known as the “Hula Hoop” bag, the Wind Power bag first made its appearance in a gigantic size, dwarfing over model’s shoulder, at the Chanel’s spring/summer 2013 RTW show in Paris. It was designed as a beach bag (think: St Tropez) to stash away beach towel by the great design maestro, Karl Lagerfeld. Kudos to fashion sensibility, it now comes in four scaled-down versions with an average diameter measurement of 24 cm. Just as quirky and perhaps a little more playful, the Lego bag was as much a showstopper. Colourful blocks of the childhood building bricks are supersized into evening clutches in various shades of bright. Arm candies, anyone? Prices start at $3,310 (24cm in diameter) for the Wind Power bag.
